Wish Me !!

Is this the new year wish I wanted from you ?? Tell me, don’t I deserve anything better ?? Oh, why I keep expecting something propitious when I know nothing, absolutely nothing can change your sick mind.

Oh, what a way to start the New Year ! Look, what I have received as a new year gift from you. A tattered and terrified me, a naked me in front of the whole world.

In my entire life I never felt this frightened, disturbed, raped and lonely... not even at a time when I lost my dear someone. But today, I lost everything.. my faith, my trust, my openhearted laugh, my honour and above all, myself, which I so wrongly thought are safe. Today I hang my head in shame. You proved me wrong. At least today it looks like so.

Try as hard as you can. You can’t kill me with your demeanors. From that loss of mine in the past, I had emerged and I’ll emerge again. I know it won’t be easy but I promise you that.

I also wish you a very happy time ahead.

Come on !! Have guts and wish me NOW !! Will you ??

For me the link worked. What a horror and what a shame on us men!

I already made my wishes to you, but I would happily repeat them and they would certainly include that something similar will not happen again, however this may unfortunately be a bit overoptimistic? Take care Cuckoo. Maybe you must bring your tiger?

I am not sure whether this is a recent trend or that it is getting reported in last 2-3 years. Also, is Mumbai the only city where people get crazy when drunk or again, it is a question of reporting it?

A Horrific incident and victims will hark back till their last breath, but not India.

India is in such a fast track where nobody has time to look back. Anyways, is this an open letter to Men?? Or an open letter to Indian System??

We break away from sex education under clear sky but, we love to snaffle in the darkness. Most of the men come out of house with the intension of finishing their day with such cheesy pleasure. Now why they will do that?? You may find lots of answers including the circumstances, the way women in crowd are dressed etc etc. But, I think its individual's consciousness.

Now system!. They (Police) don’t have moral rights to comment on the fact in such a manner when they haven’t taken any precaution to stop it (Because this is not the first time). Everybody belongs to the system irresponsible and end of the day we are the reason behind it.

How about Young Indian women? Westernization hasn’t affected them?? Guess its not the time to sloshing around at each other. Hope each of us knows our responsibilities towards our society and respect the community and people where we are belongs to. US Dollars on each of us (youngsters) paying on cost of our own morality .Don’t lose your morality for money

Very nice letter for everybody out here!
Happy new year

The news was already disturbing, but then it coming again from a girl...

kabhi kabhi lagta hai ki the moral policing done by these bajrang dal etc is very wrong and then kabhi kabhi lagta hai ki it is required.

the dilema continues

So sad Cuckoo.
Self control seems to be in short supply throughout the world.
I have a regular reader of my blog who blames these kinds of problems on the big bugaboo, over population.
In my opinion, we are so close to the edge of Chaos that incursions into it will happen regularly.
I'm sorry and disgusted it happened. Sorry it was in your beloved city.

This was expected from the sick people of mumbai but what was more shocking was the first statement issued by the "Police Head" when asked about his comments on the same...
there's has to be strict laws like what we have in arab countries...if we need to deal with these "sick people"....

by next year everything will be erased from are memories....and y next year.....probably in the coming few weeks only...everything will vanish from our memories...and again we'll have some "story" to revitalize the lost data in our memory..

neways happy new year...

that's the least public's moral values can stoop to. I was as much disturbed by the news as you were. The society where we wont respect woman or any individual to be themselves, how can we be the possible potential superpower? even if we are, what would tht change anyway in urs and my life other than the figures that we see in the wall street journal.

What has happened has been shameful. I hope all those responsible, and not just a few as they were able to gather so far, will be brought to justice.

Having lived in Mumbai for a couple of years, I can say with confidence that the Mumbai spirit will live on, and the city will continue to run on well-oiled wheels!

A very happy new year cuckoo and may the year fill you with lots of love and adventure. :)

Shameful. Pathetic. Sick. Disgusting. Tragic. Miserable. Those are few adjectives I can mutter. But that will not help. The problem is with people's mentality. I don't know how to fix this. I feel quite helpless. Perhaps we need more openness in our society. Sex-starved men with a belief that they can get away with anything in this lousy system could be a possible reason for such bitter incidents.

Dear Cuckoo,

I wish you peace, joy and harmony - above all else.

How sick. I don't think this has to do anything with moral policing and no we must not force women to wear a veil. Someone rightly said that there is one black sheep in a herd of hundred but that one is enough to spread fear. Mumbai has too many immigrants, esp unemployed ones. Add to that the sexual conservatism prevalent in our society and you get offenders like this. I couldn't help noticing the comment at the bottom of the newspaper article - Is Mumbai turning into Delhi?

No comments possible on you "liar" post! How is the whole thing developing, dear friend?

though this is not one of those days' poems,i hope this might help assuage some feelings of yours'..or maybe just understand..
