Different Stages in a Female’s Life

- A foetus was aborted because it was a “she”

- A newborn female buried alive by her own mother

- An eleven-year-old girl mortgaged for Rs 5000/- by her father to pay off the debts

- A fifteen-year-old gang raped in moving car.

- Two school girls lured into flesh market in Kolkata

- A college teenager raped by a policeman in a police-chowky in broad daylight

- A maid was killed by her employer after getting impregnated by him.

- A housewife burnt alive for want of more dowry

- A 35 year old woman thrown out of the house for not bearing a male child

- A 65 year old woman was killed by her son for a paltry sum

Even after knowing how difficult it is to survive and live a long fruitful life with dignity, I am proud to be a female and would want to be born as female again and again and again...

These facts paint a sad picture. I remember a movie, "Matrubhoomi", where the males turned into animals. Even its an insult to call them animals, because animals have more dignity. Have you seen that movie?

That is a fact, sadly... Though the conditions are getting better in cities, the rural areas are still the same.

Hope we can make some difference to this...

You dont feel proud to be a male reading this... and as flieger said - sadly, these are facts...
being a 'she' is difficult - through out her life as u said...

I wish and hope that such incidents are eradicated... and everyone gives the female the due she deserves..
long live female power!!!! :)

Depressing facts, these. But the sad part is that they're true and more common than we'd like to believe.

Alka,
No, I have not seen the movie. But yes I agree, some males put even animals to shame.

Fleiger,
Hope we can make some difference to this...It felt nice to hear such words. :))))
Yeah, let us try to make a difference.

Niki,
Thanks. These are surely Indian news but tell us about the happenings in the world. Everywhere it’s same, only the method of torture changes. I am sure, Japan is not an exception either.

SiD,
Thanks for your wonderful encouraging words. Some people just turn away and try to pretend as if they are unheard of all this.

Deets,
Yes, very true. And thanks for dropping by.

Ramanean,
Thanks for visiting my blog but pls don’t come here to advertise your site. Yeah, I do love cricket and follow it religiously but SORRY. I saw you on Abhi’s blog as well.
I don’t want to be harsh but if you come here next time for any other purpose than commenting on the posts, I’ll kick you out of my blog.

How true they are. I don't think there is going to be any change in future. We can only hope so.
